The Airport West Football Club is pleased to announce and launch the 2018 NAIDOC game to be played at Hansen Reserve on Saturday July 7th.

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. And as the Airport West Football Club initiative demonstrated in 2017, NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

This year the Club will be making the associated events and game day an even greater celebration with the support of key partners. It will kick off with The Long Walk from AJ Davis Reserve to our home ground where official activities will commence with our Welcome to Country Ceremony. A special Sponsors and Life Members luncheon will follow with guest speakers Kyle Vander Kuyp, Nova Peris and Courtenay Dempsey. Then the big game against local rivals East Keilor will take centre stage where we will run out in our specially designed indigenous guernseys. The day will then conclude with special presentations post-game.

All this is proudly supported by our partners:
• Moonee Valley City Council
• Veolia Australia & New Zealand
• Essendon Football Club
• Victorian Naidoc
