It was a very good win today by the boys on Mothers Day.  The wind was favouring the clubrooms end where most of the goal scoring occurred for the day. Taylors Lakes came to play; they were winless for the season but their first quarter belied that statistic – they were hungry for the ball leaving our boys in their wake.

The quarter time talk saw Ange talk about getting back to the basics of manning up and attacking the ball. The boys came out in the second quarter and hit their straps, taking a slim lead into half time.

The second half saw strong defensive work keeping the opposition to 1 goal 5 behinds for the  half while we scored 9 goals 5 behinds. Aaron Neumeister, Sam Candotti and first gamer Brandon Di Paolo were solid in the backline.  Major contributors for the game were Liam McBride with 5 goals from strong marking and attacking run and carry play.  Jack Deoki and Billy Paraskevis ran hard all day and Tom Muscat provided terrific leadership around the ground bringing other players into the game.  Tim Matson, Cody Broom, Ethan McShanag and Dean Antony also hit the scoreboard truly.  A good all round team effort again today.

Next week we play Pascoe Vale away.

Go Eagles.
