Senior Women’s Team
2021 saw our club field our very first Senior Women’s Team in EDFL Division 1, our first step in the journey to establish a strong foundation for women’s football at Airport West. We pride ourselves on an inclusive culture where the growth and success of our Women’s program is critical to our strategic priorities. Our goal is to include significant investment in the development of the club’s junior girl’s program, providing football playing opportunities for girls in our local area and a pathway from junior to senior football for our club’s ‘home grown’ talent, to add ongoing strength to our senior women’s program.
Our focus is to continue to help our existing players develop their skills and capabilities, whilst engendering a passion for teamwork, community and having fun. We are committed to building upon our existing player list, with several exciting additions to our squad already locked in for next season. Ultimately, we aim to provide the opportunity for our women to play their best football against the best competition, supported by a highly regarded coaching team.
Training is held between 6-7.30pm Monday’s and Wednesdays in pre-season (starting in November) and the same time on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from April onwards.
